We are sure that you want to get the best possible rate for accommodation when booking a hotel, lots of guests use online booking agents such as Booking.com, because its easy. Yes we agree it does make it easy….. but don’t believe that it’s for FREE. Someone has to pay for this service, and it’s you the customer!

Do you use Booking.com because it says you get FREE CANCELLATION? Don’t be misled, most hotels & B&B’s will offer Free Cancellation up until a certain time before the day of arrival. Booking.com small print will also state this as it is the individual accommodation provider which sets the cancellation policy. So yes we at The Clifton South Shields offer Free Cancellation up until 72 hours before the day of arrival. If you look on Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com or Tripadvisor our cancellation policy is exactly the same.
Are you a Booking.com Genius Customer? Get offered a Better Rate than Advertised? Of course you do… actually what Booking.com do is discount the Rate offered by the accommodation provider.
